Former Sumner High School of East Sullivan standout Brendan O’Keefe, who went on to run for Brown University, finished fifth in the 1500 meter race at the American Miler Series meet in Bloomington, Ind.,on Saturday.

O’Keefe registered a time of 3 minutes, 42.51 seconds, his third consecutive personal best.

He was representing the ZAP Fitness team based in Bowling Rock, N.C.

Sean Graham of the Nike Farm team won the race in 3:40.73.
