BANGOR – Adam King threw a four-hitter, striking out 11 and walking seven, and aided his own cause with a solo homer and a single to lead the Bangor East 11-12 All-Stars to a 10-3 District 3 baseball win over Katahdin on Wednesday.

Chris Howat doubled and singled and drove in two runs for Bangor East, which will host Bangor West at 5:30 today.

Patrick Stewart singled twice and had an RBI and Kyle Mallory-McDonald and Connor Griffin had triples. Griffin had an RBI.

Spencer Anderson’s two-run single and J.J. Conery’s RBI single led Katahdin.

Orono-Veazie 5, Lincoln 3

At Orono, Tyler Eddy hit a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to break the 3-3 tie and give Orono-Veazie the win.

Nick Cota allowed three runs on two hits and one walk while striking out 11 for Orono-Veazie. Cameron Dwyer hit two singles and a double and Eddy had two singles.

Drew Knights singled and scored a run for Lincoln.

Old Town 5, Millinocket 1

At Old Town, Tyler Alexander allowed just one run on one hit and four walks while striking out 13 to lead Old Town to the win over Millinocket.

Brandon Cyr hit a double and two singles and drove in three runs for Old Town. Casey Estes hit an RBI single. Daniel Gastia tripled and Alexander doubled.

Charlie Tapley hit a solo home run in the fourth inning for Millinocket.

At Glenburn, Alex Burgess scattered three hits while striking out nine as Holbrook earned the win.

At Thirteenth Street Field in Bangor, Josiah Hartley hit a single and a two-run triple to help lead Bangor West to victory.

Bobby Winchell had two singles and an RBI for Bangor West and Carl Farnham doubled.

Dakota Duplissie and Gabe Burdett doubled for Hampden.

At Milbridge, Brendan Tenney hit two solo home runs to help lead Sunrise past Acadian.

Curtis Worcester, Zac Perry, and Beaver Dublin each had three singles for Sunrise.

Nick Shaw tripled and doubled for Acadian and Robert Logue hit a double and a single.

At Calais, Tyler McAllian hit a double and a three-run home run in the fourth inning to help push Bucksport past Calais.

Billy Deredin doubled and singled for Bucksport and Cody Davis hit an RBI single. Ryan Bailey recorded eight strikeouts.

Adam Geel doubled and singled for Calais. Jesse Clark hit an RBI single and Jeremy Beers singled and scored a run.

At Calais, four different pitchers combined on a no-hitter as Calais prevailed.

Rebecca Redding slammed a two-run home run to go with a pair of bases-loaded triples, giving her eight RBIs in the contest. Shannon Brown added a pair of singles for Calais.
