BREWER – Actors and actresses of the Ten Bucks Theatre Company will perform Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” at 8 p.m. Friday-Sunday, July 14, 15 and 16, and Thursday-Saturday, July 20, 21 and 22, at Indian Trail Park in Brewer. Julie Arnold Lisnet will direct the play.
“Macbeth” is a gripping tale of witchcraft, political betrayal, murder and lust for power at any cost. The play is one of Shakespeare’s most popular tragedies.
“Fair is foul and foul is fair” is a theme throughout the play. Appearances are deceiving and what seems good is evil. What is achieved through evil is not satisfying and compounds the desperation felt throughout.
Admission is $10, $5 for students. College students should show a school I.D. Call 884-1030 for ticket requests.
