BANGOR – Brian Roach hit a two-run double and scored a run as the Orono Twins survived a three-run Bangor rally in the bottom of the seventh inning and held off the previously undefeated Comrades 7-6 in American Legion baseball action at Mansfield Stadium Wednesday.

BANGOR – Brian Roach hit a two-run double and scored a run as the Orono Twins survived a three-run Bangor rally in the bottom of the seventh inning and held off the previously undefeated Comrades 7-6 in American Legion baseball action at Mansfield Stadium Wednesday.

Cory Estes doubled and scored two runs for Orono. Dusty Thomas hit an RBI double and Jarrett Lukas added an RBI single.

Shane Walton hit an RBI tripled and scored a run for Bangor as Kyle Vanidestine and Alex Gallant singled twice and scored a run.

Brewer 9, Presque Isle 3

At Bucksport, Prentiss Swett had a two-run single and two-run double while Cam Wadleigh and Joe Robicheau each hit an RBI double to lead the Falcons past the Patriots.

Ricky Adams slapped an RBI single and contributed a sacrifice fly for Brewer and Andy Otis added two singles and an RBI.

Harry Austin and Matt McGlinn each had an RBI single for Presque Isle.

At Searsport, Noah Burke scored from second base in the bottom of the seventh on a John Wentworth single to left field as Waldo rallied from a 4-1 deficit to earn the win.

Josh Nickerson hit a grand slam in the sixth inning for Waldo and Burke singled twice and scored two runs. Wentworth had two singles.

Burke picked off three base runners from behind the plate.

Nick Lancisi hit a solo home run, a three-run home run, and a single for Penquis. Dan Beatham tied the game in the top of the seventh with a two-run single.

Hampden 11, Calais 7

At Calais, Justin Kelsey doubled and singled to drive in three runs and help lead Hampden past Calais.

Shawn Smith and Patrick Stephens hit three singles and knocked in a run for Hampden. Joel Neill had two doubles and a single and Ian Lee doubled twice.

Josh Francis hit a single and a pair of two-run home runs for Calais. Aaron Sullivan had a single and a two-run home run. Scott Geel hit a double and three singles to drive in a run and Jeff Ramsdell doubled and singled.
