LEWISTON – Matt Dence, Chris Kempton and Josh Hedrick have been hired as assistant football coaches at Bates College, head coach Mark Harriman announced Friday.

Dence will serve as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach while Kempton will coach the defensive backs and special teams. Hedrick, a recent graduate of Colgate University, where he was a tight end, will coach the wide recievers.
