Lincoln County records third victory, advances

WARREN – Billy Reilly’s home run in the bottom of the sixth inning lifted Lincoln County to a 1-0 victory Sunday over Waldo in District 2 ages 11-12 All-Star baseball action.

Anthony McCullah pitched the shutout, allowing three hits with 12 strikeouts for Lincoln.

Logan Poirier hit a double while Colby Blanchard added a single for Waldo.

At Waldo, Logan Poirer singled twice and recorded 12 strikeouts to help lead Waldo County past Bath.

At Warren, Kyle Turner singled and struck out five as Waldo held off Rockland.

Brody Gibbs also singled for Waldo as Rockland pitchers allowed just two hits.

Sam McKilin hit two singles for Rockland.

Ellsworth I 11, Ellsworth II 2

At Ellsworth, Jacob Poors hit two singles to drive in four runs to lead Ellsworth I to victory on Saturday.

Brandon Braley had two singles and an RBI for Ellsworth I and Ben Haslam added a two-run single. Jake Maguire struck out 11.

Mitch Domagala doubled and singled for Ellsworth II and Sam Farley doubled.

At Holden, Will Manning struck out 11 to help lead Hampden to the shutout win over Bangor West on Saturday.

Ryan Flanagan hit two doubles and drove in two runs for Hampden and Eric Hansen hit a two-run single. Caleb Nelson tripled and Simon Burditt doubled.

Kyle Farley and Cody Chapman doubled for Bangor West.

At Holden, Dakota Dupuis allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out seven to earn the shutout win for Holbrook on Saturday.

Shawn Curran hit an RBI triple and scored three runs for Holbrook and Kris Coleman added a two-run triple. Ian Burgess tripled and singled and Charles Kindya doubled and singled.

Sean Tocci singled in the first inning for Glenburn.

At Holden, Ryan Flanagan hit a double and two singles to drive in a run and also scored three runs for Hampden on Sunday.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning and two outs, Brian Fickett got a groundout to end the rally and the game.

Collin Hewes hit an RBI double for Hampden and Fickett had an RBI single and recorded 11 strikeouts.

Ben Mann had two doubles and a single with three RBIs for Bangor East and Bryan Rouleau doubled and singled to knock in two runs.

At Old Town, Andrew Collins allowed four hits and Gehrig White had two singles, a double and four RBIs to help keep Brewer unbeaten Sunday.

Tony Bissell added a triple, two singles and three RBIs for Brewer.

Cody Lyons had two singles for Glenburn-Levant.

Patrick Quimby threw a five-hitter and Adam Boucher led Old Town’s offense with a double, two singles and four RBIs on Saturday.

Garvey Melmed had three singles and two RBIs. Damien Everett had an RBI double for Old Town.

Jeremy Beaulieu hit an RBI double for Hermon.

Josh Landry pitched a four-hitter and his Bangor West team took advantage of walks to eliminate Orrington on Saturday.

Galen Perry had an RBI single for Bangor West.

Kurt Massey singled twice to pace Orrington.

Holden Kimball had a two-run triple and Trysten Pelkey hit three singles for Lincoln.

Joe Archambault led Holbrook with a double, two singles and three RBIs. Nolan Webber had two singles and an RBI.

Hampden eliminated Orono-Veazie behind Matt Closson, who had a complete-game pitching effort as well as a double and single on Saturday.

Zac Gilpin had three singles and two RBIs for Hampden. Matt Martin had a two-run triple.

Christian Mower tripled and singled for Orono-Veazie, Zac Palmeter had two singles, and Justin White hit an RBI double.

At Bar Harbor, Machias earned the win over the Acadians due to ineligible pitchers. The Acadians were eliminated with an 0-2 record and Machias advanced with a 1-1 record.

Calais 11, Ellsworth 1

At Calais, Jasmine Ross tripled, doubled, and singled to knock in three runs to lead Calais to the win.

Malorie Black hit three singles for Calais as Taylorae Carter and Kate Cundiff singled twice. Bridgett Hunnewell and Paige Gillespie hit back-to-back triples in the fourth inning.

Heather Holt and Megan Hunt singled for Ellsworth.

At Orrington, Emily Cox pitched a no-hit shutout with 17 strikeouts to lead Orrington by Lincoln.

Autumn St. John hit two singles, a double and drove in a run while Nicole Murphy added a double and a single for Orrington.

Harley Maxwell had 16 strikeouts for Lincoln.

At Hermon Saturday, Kristen Wilcox hit a two-run double to help lead Hermon.

Wilcox also struck out eight.

Kayla Snow had a double and a single while Gabrielle Bryant added an RBI single for Hermon.

Mikaila Bisson hit a single to drive in Lincoln’s run.

At Hermon Saturday, Catelyn Burns hit five singles and drove in three runs as Bangor defeated Orrington.

Courtney Lizotte had four singles with two RBIs while Carly Cosgrove had a two-run double and a single. Anna Morris and Mikayla Cassum each added two singles and two RBIs for Bangor.

Hunter Spencer hit a two-run home run and a single while Crystal Demchak had two singles and two RBIs. Krissy Dionne singled twice with an RBI while Brianna Smith added a double for Orrington.

At Hermon Sunday, Carly McDonald hit a three-run triple and an RBI single to help lead Lincoln past Glenburn.

Mikaila Bisson added three singles and four RBIs. Taylor Blood hit two singles and drove in three runs, Alyssa Thurlow had two RBI singles and Sam Boothby added a one-run double.

Shaniah Haskell drove in three runs on a double and a single for Glenburn. Danika Snow hit two singles.
