Clarke pitches Bangor to win

BANGOR – Jordan Clarke allowed just one base runner in the final five innings while striking out 10 to lead Bangor to a 6-3 District 3 Senior League baseball playoff win over Orono-Veazie on Monday at Mansfield Stadium.

Because of three rain delays totaling five hours during the day’s first game, the other two games were postponed.

Ryan LaRochelle hit an RBI triple for Bangor.

Max Winter had an RBI triple and a single for Orono-Veazie. Collin Bates had an RBI triple and an RBI single.

Coastal 5, Acadian 2

At Bar Harbor, Josh Gale hit a two-run double and an RBI single to lead Coastal past Acadian.

Jesse Dow singled twice for Coastal and Jimmy Gray added an RBI single.

Caleb MacDonald and Dennis O’Neil doubled for Acadian and Ben Walls hit an RBI single.

Calais 12, Moosabec 1

At Jonesport-Beals, Rebecca Redding hit two home runs to drive in five runs and lead Calais to victory.

Brandy Carl tripled and singled to knock in three runs for Calais and Allison Hill added an RBI single.

Erin Crowley singled twice for Moosabec and Aura Crowley doubled.

Millinocket 14, Bangor East 9

At Old Town, Jordan Morrow doubled and singled to drive in two runs and help lead Millinocket past Bangor East.

Mark Lyons and Seth Brown had two singles and two RBIs for Millinocket. Kyle McVey singled twice with an RBI.

Andrew Hillier and Nick Leach had two singles with an RBI for Bangor East. Chris Hillier singled twice and Nick Ashey hit an RBI double.

Waldo 5, Camden-Rockport 3

At Camden Thursday, Adam Higgins doubled and singled and scored twice to help lead Waldo County past Camden-Rockport.

Andrew Gibbs hit a two-run double for Waldo and Nick Rodgerson had two singles with an RBI.

Isack Filderman hit three singles for Camden-Rockport and Vinny Kwiatkowski doubled and singled and scored two runs.
