OLD TOWN – This spring, Penobscot County Federal Credit Union held a bike raffle to raise funds for the Ending Hunger in Maine campaign.

Dan Copeland of Brewer won the grand prize – a Roadmaster bicycle, helmet and horn, donated by Wal-Mart and Penobscot County FCU.

Last year, Penobscot County Federal Credit Union raised more than $3,200 for the 2005 Ending Hunger Campaign, which distributed food throughout the Old Town area.

Of the 75 Maine credit unions raising funds for Ending Hunger in 2004, Penobscot County Federal Credit Union ranked 12th in per-member contributions.
