BANGOR – Members of the Bangor Area Breakfast Rotary Club said they were happy to present UCP of Maine with a check for $3,500 at the club’s annual dinner on June 29.

The club raised the funds for this effort with the presentation of “All That Jazz,” a festival showcasing the talents of musical groups from Bangor High School, Hermon High School and Hampden Academy.

The students were able to hone their performance skills in preparation for the state jazz competition, and each group received $1,000 from the Rotary Club as well.

The remaining proceeds were earmarked for UCP of Maine’s summer camp program, supporting camp opportunities for area children while Camp Capella is not available. Those who would like to learn more about the Bangor Area Breakfast Rotary Club may visit the Web site, www.bangorbreakfastrotary.org.
