Acadia Mortgage reaches to Florida thanks to DSL

Using Verizon’s digital subscriber line technology, Acadia Mortgage Co. in Bangor has extended its reach all the way to Florida. DSL helps the company save money because most of its lenders are out of state, and the daily cost of multiple phone calls and multiple faxes adds up.

“With DSL, we can send the same information over the Web and it does not cost us any more than the cost of the DSL, which is essential to what makes Acadia Mortgage Company stand out from the rest of the competition. DSL allows us to close loans in as few as 48 hours,” said David Quimby, president and loan officer at Acadia Mortgage.

“Without DSL, we would be waiting on slow fax machines, the mail, and we would be wasting time calling multiple people so we could tell them all the same thing. With DSL, everything is done almost instantaneously.”
