A Hartland man suffered head injuries early Monday when he crashed his 1988 Chevrolet Nova into a stump in the median of Interstate 95. Henry Gobiel, 26, was taken to Sebasticook Valley Hospital for treatment after the 6 a.m. crash. Maine State Trooper Sean Kinney said Gobiel was trying to use his cell phone when he apparently drifted off the left side of the highway and was unable to pull back onto the road because of high, wet grass. Gobiel’s vehicle struck a stump in the median. Kinney said no charges were filed and that Gobiel was not impaired by drugs or alcohol, nor was speed a factor.
