BANGOR – Devin Lyshon hit a three-run double to spark a five-run second inning as the Bangor All-Stars beat Katahdin Valley 11-1 for the District 3 Junior League baseball title at Mansfield Stadium Thursday.

Jacques LaRochelle doubled, singled twice and knocked in three runs for the winners.

Evan McCarthy had two singles for Katahdin.

At Ellsworth, Steven Mahon hit two singles and drove in two runs to help lead Ellsworth past Machias to win the District One Championship.

Anthony Gardner singled twice for Ellsworth and Brandon Braley hit an RBI doubled. Jacob Poors doubled and Jake Maguire added an RBI single.

Andrew Farnsworth hit three singles for Machias. Gage Feeney doubled and Kyle Taylor had an RBI single.

Bangor 9, Old Town 2

At Mansfield Stadium, Bangor, Christian LaRochelle singled twice to drive in three runs to lead Bangor past Old Town and force another game to decide the District 3 Senior League champion.

The championship game will be played on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Mansfield Stadium.

Josh Hansen had two singles and two RBIs for Bangor and Tyler McDade hit a double and knocked in two runs. Tyler Brookings, Mark Susi, and Jordan Clarke each singled twice.

Lance Getchell hit three singles to lead Old Town and Cory Wasson singled twice.

Rockland 8, Calais 3

At Ellsworth, Lindsay Ranquist hit a single and a two-run double to help lead Rockland to victory.

Danica Gustin hit an RBI single in the sixth inning for Rockland and Natalie Russell recorded nine strikeouts while allowing just three runs on two hits and four walks.

Sarah Smith hit a two-run single for Calais and Emily McCadden singled.

Saco 3, Orrington 2

At Ellsworth, Hannah Ebling singled and scored a run to help lead Saco past Orrington.

Chrissy Rammes allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out seven for Saco.

Amy Curry had two singles with an RBI for Orrington and Kelcey Simpson singled twice. Emily Cox had 10 strikeouts while allowing three runs on one hit and two walks.

Auburn 4, Falmouth 3

At Ellsworth, Emily Johnson scored from third base on a single from Miranda Casey in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Auburn Suburban Little League the win over Falmouth.

Leigh Wyman had 14 strikeouts for Auburn. Amanda Turcotte hit a two-run single in the fifth inning and Mariah Mosher added an RBI single.

Alli Carver singled and scored a run for Falmouth.

At Saco, Mallory Emerson pitched six strong innings and aided her own cause with a two-run double and single as Old Town won its tourney opener.

Old Town plays again today at 5 p.m.

Amy Singer chipped in with a two-run single in Old Town’s four-run sixth inning and Hannah Morin doubled. Morin also recorded a save.
