ACADIA NATIONAL PARK – Budding artists and nature lovers are invited to Schoodic Point for the coming Arts in Acadia Weekend on Aug. 26-27.

The weekend includes three art classes, a nature walk, an art presentation, a night hike, sunrise sketching and poetry. Participants can choose from one or all of the events, and an exhibit of work from the artist-in-residence program also will be on display.

Each activity costs $8-$10 per person, and a total weekend package, including overnight accommodations and three meals, costs $125 per person. There are special family rates.

All proceeds cover the cost of materials and support the artists-in-residence program.
