The Boston Red Sox made several moves in their minor league system Thursday, promoting Chris Smith to Pawtucket and Iggy Suarez and Andrew Dobies to Portland. Dobies, a lefthanded pitcher and Suarez, an infielder, were both called up to the Sea Dogs from Single-A Wilmington.

The Boston Red Sox made several moves in their minor league system Thursday, promoting Chris Smith to Pawtucket and Iggy Suarez and Andrew Dobies to Portland.

Dobies, a lefthanded pitcher and Suarez, an infielder, were both called up to the Sea Dogs from Single-A Wilmington. Dobies was 8-6 with a 3.98 ERA in 21 games with the Blue Rocks, striking out 77 and walking 33 in 117 2/3 innings of work.
