MADAWASKA – A Madawaska man was summoned to court Monday night for reckless conduct and operating while under the influence.
Police were called because Michael Daigle was having a dispute with his companion, and threatened to injure himself.
He had a firearm. There were no injuries.
Officer Jamie Pelletier of the Madawaska Police Department and Trooper Dan Marquis of the Maine State Police responded. Madawaska Police Chief Ronald Pelletier said Tuesday that Daigle offered no resistance when approached by police.
He had fired four shots in the air. He attempted to leave the scene in his pickup truck.
The incident happened about 6:45 p.m. at 851 Beaulieu Road, which is not his home.
