SATURDAY’S ACTIVITIES
Baseball clinic, 4:30 p.m. – Open to baseball and softball players up to age 12 from Maine District 3, conducted by UMaine baseball head coach Steve Trimper. All participants at the clinic receive a free World Series pass for all 23 games and the pool all-star game.
Concert by Andy Mead and band, 6 p.m.
Opening ceremonies, 8 p.m. – Parade of teams. First pitch by UMaine player Curt Smith, a past World Series player for Curacao
Fireworks display, 9 p.m.
Tourney notes – Tourney passes are $30 for adults, $20 for children. … Stadium parking is free. … There are no admission charges for Saturday’s activities. … The tourney opens Sunday at noon when Bangor plays Canada.
