PORTLAND – The Boston Red Sox announced Thursday that right-handed pitcher Brett Evert was sent down from Triple-A Pawtucket to Double-A Portland.
Signed as a minor league free agent in August 2006 after being released by the Milwaukee Brewers organization, Evert allowed five runs on five hits in 4.1 innings and took the loss for the PawSox.
