“Eastern Maine Idol,” modeled on the Fox hit “American Idol,” will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the Bangor Mall. The winner will be flown to Seattle for a guaranteed audition in front of a producer from “American Idol.” Registration starts at noon, with auditions starting at 1. Auditions will consist of each contestant singing a cappella for one minute in front of a panel of four judges and the assembled crowd. Ten finalists will be chosen, who will perform a full-length song at 3 p.m. For more information, call 989-5631 or 945-6457.
