WALDOBORO – Medomak Valley High School begins destroying cumulative academic records for the classes of 1990 through 1998 on Oct. 1.

The school has observed the seven-year period for which students’ records must be maintained after their graduations.

The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act requires that rights to academic records be transferred to students when they turn 18.

Records will be released to students who present identification such as a driver’s license or passport, or to parents who present both signed permission from their son or daughter and identification.

For information or to arrange to pick up records, call MVHS counseling office at 832-7270.
