We’ve seen the unimpressive search for the next Coyote Ugly, but this is something in an entirely different league.
The CW Network has announced it will be searching for the next Pussycat Doll this season, with a nationwide talent search beginning immediately.
For those of you not familiar with these ladies, they are a scantily clad singing-and-dancing ensemble that likes to shake their booty.
Their debut album, “PCD,” hit the shelves almost a year ago with the No. 1 hit “Don’t Cha,” featuring Busta Rhymes.
The group’s “innovator,” Robin Antin, is quoted on the girls’ Web site as saying that “Inside every woman is a Pussycat Doll.”
I’m not so sure, but I guess we’ll find out.
We can be certain of one thing. I won’t be singing a tune or shaking anything I’ve got in front of a camera to try to become the next girl they’re looking for.
If you’re interested, send a video to Pussycat Doll Casting, 2801 Ocean Park Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90405.
One side note: If the last name Antin sounds familiar, it’s because Robin is the sister of Bravo’s “Blow Out” star Jonathan Antin.
For those of you who didn’t catch Episode 4 of “Project Runway,” it was a drama-filled event.
Keith broke the rules by using fashion books to aid in the Macy’s design he and his team were creating. In his exit interview, Keith admitted he wasn’t processing the whole incident very well.
“I break rules a lot of times,” he said.
WHAT?!? He broke the rules. He used fashion books to aid in his design and thought it was going to be OK?
I’m glad they didn’t give him a second chance and hope we don’t see him back anytime soon.
As for my favorite find of the week, it might be better left to my friend and co-worker ShopGirl to tell you about, but I can’t wait.
By visiting the “shop” link on the “Project Runway” Web site, you can bid on designs that have been seen on the show. Remember Kayne and Robert’s winning pageant gown? It sold for $400. And remember Laura’s stunning fur-trimmed coat? It went for $165.
Even if you’re not interested in buying, it’s fun to see the final price tag on the designers’ creations.
