SNOWMASS VILLAGE, Colo. – Adam Craig of Corinth and Bend, Ore., raced to a fifth-place finish Saturday in the National Mountain Biking Series pro men’s cross country final.
Craig, 24, finished 5 minutes, 11 seconds behind winner Jeremiah Bishop of Harrisonburg, Va., who competed the grueling course in 1 hour, 54 minutes, 58 seconds. Craig had finished ninth in this event a year ago.
Series points leader Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski finished second, with Canadian Geoff Kabush, American Todd Wells, and Craig completing the top five.
Next up for Craig are the International Cycling Union world championships slated for Aug. 22-27 at Rotorua, New Zealand.
