Brewer library displays art

Officials at the Brewer Public Library said they were pleased with the opportunity to exhibit paintings from the Brewer Parks and Recreation Department’s newest adult art program, “Intro to Acrylic Painting.”

The exhibition will be on-going throughout the summer and will feature a variety of paintings done by local and area beginning painters.

“Intro to Acrylic Painting” classes came about because of requests from adults who expressed a desire to learn how to paint – but were not sure how to get started and were hesitant to take the first step.

Instructor for the class, retired Brewer art teacher Beverly Langley, said that viewers will be amazed at the talent exhibited by these novice painters.

Featured artists are: Karen Novak, Betty Ring, Jane Bishop, Linda Webb, Jody Lee, Cathy Vallance, Ellen Fisher, Tanya Kinney, Lucille Francoeur, Eileen Delahunt, Laurie Stymiest, Lynn Higgins, Linda Byram, Kathy Schwigan and Marie Johnson.
