BANGOR – The following are city meetings and other activities for the week ahead. All will be held in City Council chambers at City Hall unless otherwise indicated.

. Monday: 5 p.m., City Council’s finance committee, agenda includes resolve appropriating funding to demolish building at 53 Charles St., order authorizing issuance of $655,000 in general obligation bonds for fleet replacements.

. Tuesday: 5 p.m., City Council’s transportation and infrastructure committee, agenda includes review of Pine Grove Crematorium, parking issues around the Freese’s building, order condemning building at 56 Larkin St., building code updates.

. Wednesday: 5 p.m., City Council’s business and economic development committee, agenda includes nomination of Merrill Bank’s rehabilitation project for recognition by Maine Downtown Center, grant applications for Maine Municipal Investment Trust funds, Main Street sidewalk project, lease agreement for office space at 39 Florida Ave., amendments to lease agreements with QV Realty Trust, AAA Northern New England, Federal Aviation Administration, executive sessions regarding property disposition at 6 Central St., Bangor Waterfront, Maine Avenue; 5 p.m., recycling committee, public works conference room, 530 Maine Ave., agenda includes recycling report, recycling intern, mapping future plans for recycling; 7 p.m., school committee, agenda includes opening of school report, Celebrating School People event, Tax Payer Bill of Rights, first reading of policy on bullying in schools, resignations, teacher nominations, reassignments, extra-duty assignments.

. Friday: 7:30 a.m., commission for cultural development, agenda includes meeting with representative of Charles O. Howard Foundation to review latest monument proposal.
