New cellular store
BREWER – U.S. Cellular has opened its newest retail store in Brewer at 403 Wilson St.
The new store is designed to guide customers through each step of the buying process, officials said, from selecting the most appropriate rate plan to choosing the best phone and wireless accessories.
To facilitate the process and to help U.S. Cellular associates better understand customers’ needs, the Brewer store features two consulting stations, as well as product information displays, a service technician window and live wireless phone demonstration stations.
“U.S. Cellular strives to provide its customers with superior wireless technology and unsurpassed customer care,” said Jim Holmes, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in New England. “We’re constantly looking for new ways to maintain the highest level of customer support and to ensure our customers are receiving wireless products and services of value.”
The new store is staffed with seven associates and will be open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Call 989-3291 to obtain more information.
U.S. Cellular currently employs more than 160 retail sales associates throughout Maine and operates 94 retail stores, kiosks and authorized agent locations. U.S. Cellular has provided service to Maine since 1988.

Human services director
BANGOR – Eastern Agency on Aging has announced the hiring of Jody Vail as the new director of the agency’s human resources department.
Vail comes to Eastern Agency on Aging from Husson College, where she spent several years as a human resources representative with varied responsibilities.
“I feel privileged to be working for an organization that does so many wonderful things for seniors in eastern Maine,” said Vail. “Eastern Agency on Aging has a great reputation and I look forward to being part of such a dedicated team.”
Vail has a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in marketing from Husson College, graduating cum laude, and a master’s degree in business from Husson College.
She won the 2003 Outstanding Marketing Student Award and is a member of the Human Resource Association of Eastern Maine.
