There is so little in the news these days to bring a smile so effectively as did your Games of Good Will story that appeared on the front page of Monday’s edition. Such a simple act of imagination, no genius, with the power to result in so much good will.

I congratulate Stephen Kinghorn [a former soccer coach who works for the University of Maine at its experimental blueberry farm in Jonesboro] for conceiving of a soccer match with which to celebrate the end of a season of hard work on the blueberry fields of Maine.

Hooray for Mexico, Honduras and Maine!
