But you still need to activate your account.
We know her from her days on “Beverly Hills 90210” and her previous reality gig “Scare Tactics” on Sci Fi. But now Shannen Doherty is hosting and producing her own show for Oxygen all about ending relationships.
The show premiered at 10 p.m. Tuesday, and although the ratings aren’t in, I’m not holding my breath that this one’s going to make it.
Oxygen, known as “television for women,” is the home of the show where Doherty does the dirty work and helps men and women get out of relationships they no longer want to be in. Simply put, it’s called “Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty.”
I have one word – lame.
Doherty creates situations and secretly videotapes the unsuspecting other half before giving them the news that their relationship is over or presenting them with ultimatums – shape up or ship out.
It’s like middle school when you send your friends in to do the dirty work, only worse because the show features adults.
There is, however, a bonus. On the “Breaking Up” Web site, you can enter for a chance to win a $3,000 makeover. There’s only one catch. It’s to make you “look great for your next breakup.”
If you missed the first episode, the show’s scheduled to be on again at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Also, I wanted to give a quick update on a show I really liked when the previews came out. NBC’s “Treasure Hunters” ended this week with Team Geniuses, a group of three college students, finding and winning a room filled with gold coins.
I was hopeful this one might show up for another season, but after reading about the mediocre ratings, we’ll have to wait and see.
And one more update. Congratulations to 11-year-old Bianca Ryan for her win on “America’s Got Talent.”
While I realize that in the beginning the judges may have been looking for something other than another reality TV singer, I think America and the judges got this one right.
