Oxford Plains Speedway
Jeff Taylor of Norridgewock passed Mike Maietta Sr. on the outside and then held off Tim Brackett of Buckfield to win Saturday night’s Pro Stock feature. The win was Taylor’s fifth of the season and 68th in his OPS career. Brackett finished second, followed by Jeff Burgess of Fairfield, Tommy Tompkins of Mexico and Al Hammond of South Paris. Maietta of South Portland settled for sixth place.

Winterport Dragway
At Winterport, Mark Dover of Anson walked away with two victories, in both the Super Pro/Pro and the Pro Eliminator at Winterport Dragway’s Chevy Day. Tim Huff of Dover-Foxcroft took second place in the Super Pro/Pro and first in the Super Pro Eliminator.

At Wiscasset, Bryan Robbins of Liberty won his fifth Late Model Sportsman division race Saturday night at Wiscasset Raceway. Josh St. Clair and his father Puncin St. Clair, both of Liberty, took second and third place, respectively.

Pruett and Diaz earn victory
At Sonoma, Calif., Scott Pruett and Luis Diaz, Chip Ganassi Racing teammates, overcame a spin and earned their second consecutive Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series race victory in the Sonoma 250 on Saturday.
Tracy Krohn made contact with Diaz 22 laps into the 99-lap race and sent his car into a spin, dropping the No. 01 Lexus Riley well down in the running order. Diaz pitted soon after turned the car over to Pruett.
When the rest of the leaders pitted on lap 74, Pruett brought the car back in front. He made a pit stop for a splash of fuel with 10 laps remaining without losing the lead.
He held off Andy Wallace by 2.22 seconds to claim the victory. Pruett and Diaz lead the Rolex Series with five victories this year.
Wallace and co-driver Butch Leitzinger finished second, the best result of the season for the No. 4 Howard-Boss Motorsports Pontiac Crawford. Adrian Fernandez and Mario Haberfeld finished third in the No. 12 Fernandez Racing Pontiac Riley, followed by pole sitter Jan Magnussen and co-driver Max Angelelli in the No. 10 SunTrust Pontiac Riley.
