Members of Moosehead Quilters have had a busy year. According to Libby Collins, one of the group’s activities was to support “Project Linus by making quilts for children who are ill, traumatized or otherwise in need of comfort.”
In fact, one Moosehead Quilter has been particularly hard at work: Paula Hanson of Greenville made “15 beautiful quilts for this project,” Collins wrote.
And now it’s time for the Moosehead Quilters Second annual Quilt Show, which is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at Diane’s Kitchen and Beyond on Pleasant Street in Greenville.
The show features a quilt raffle, a silent auction, a door prize and, this year, Collins wrote, “we have added a craft table.”
She also wants you to know that another “fun project” of the Quilters has been “making a cat quilt that will be in the silent auction,” with all proceeds from its sale benefiting pet care organizations.
If you are interested in learning more about this event or about the work of the Moosehead Quilters, call Collins at 695-3858 or e-mail libbycollins@lycos.com.
