ORONO – Caitlin Quinn scored the game-winning goal 8:13 into the second overtime to lead Fairfield University to a 2-1 field hockey victory over the University of Maine Tuesday.

Nicole Emery scored Maine’s goal 30:45 into the first half with on an assist from Amy Zdrojesky. Rebecca Giroux made seven saves on 11 shots for the 2-1 Black Bears.

Courtney O’Connor netted the tying goal for Fairfield while Chelsea Hicks recorded the assist. Elizabeth Thomas saved 12 of 24 shots for the 1-1 Stags.
