BANGOR – The Penobscot County Conservation Association will sponsor the 29th annual Bangor Gun Show 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9; and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Bangor Auditorium.
Proceeds from the shows are used to support scholarships for wildlife conservation students at the University of Maine and Unity College.
The association also supports Maine Hunter Education and marksmanship training programs, and is a major contributor to the Greenland Point Conservation School.
The show will feature new, used, antique and historical firearms, ammunition, gun parts and shooting accessories.
The show was established 29 years ago by Bangor Daily News Charities. The conservation association assumed sponsorship in 1994.
Show admission is $6. National Rifle Association members, law enforcement officers and military personnel pay $5. Children under 12 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Those joining the NRA at the show will be admitted free.
Many firearms dealers from throughout Maine will be on hand to buy, sell, trade and discuss firearms.
