New Hampshire’s lead

Maine is one of, if not the worst, state in the nation for its tax burden on businesses and individuals.

Across the Piscataqua River is New Hampshire, one of the best, if not the best, state in the nation for its tax burden. Why don’t we go over there, see how they do it and come back and fix this state?

If we are not going to live up to our state motto, Dirigo (I lead), let’s follow someone who knows how to lead. It’s a better idea than following states like California with its EPA guidelines that send Maine people to New Hampshire to buy their diesel Volkswagens which are banned here.

I read that the new Cabela’s project in Scarborough is on hold if Maine collects state sales tax for online purchases by Maine residents. Watch this $75 million project go over the bridge.

It’s time to do something positive. Let’s cut the Legislature by two-thirds which would be more appropriate for the size of Maine. Maybe we could make some good decisions out of Augusta.

The first decision should be to take a trip to Concord, N.H.
