Lloyd Hazen Woods, a Vietnam-era Navy veteran, has been named one of 12 national officers in the American Legion.

A Stockholm native, Woods, 59, was sworn in as a national vice commander on Aug. 31.

He has been a Legionnaire since 1967 and has held many leadership positions at the Legion’s post, state and national levels. He will serve a one-year term in the second-highest elective office of the Legion.
