FARMINGTON – Amanda Byrne had two goals and an assist and Danielle Glover added two goals to lead the UMaine-Farmington women’s soccer team to a 10-0 win over UMaine-Machias Thursday.

Jackie Mrazik, Ashley Tetreault, Sue Fitton, Katharina Berger, Molly Bell and Erin Campbell each netted a goal for the Beavers.

The Beavers outshot the Clippers 30-0 in the mutual season opener.

Men’s soccer

UNE 2, Rivier 2

At Nashua, N.H., Ryan Tarr scored two goals to help the University of New England tie Rivier in the mutual opener in double overtime.

Tarr scored unassisted in the first half when he broke in on the left side and beat the goalie on the near-post. Tarr volleyed a cross from Josh Pouliot for his second goal in the second half. Derek Poulin made five saves in the first half for UNE and Jon Mango had five in the second and the two overtimes.

Gianfranio Pisano scored both goals for Rivier.
