WALES – Junior tailback Jon Hall rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries as Mount Desert Island defeated Oak Hill 42-18 in high school football action Saturday.
The 2-0 Trojans amassed more than 400 total yards for the second straight week, as Chris Ward added 68 rushing yards and a touchdown and Odane Gaynore rushed for 63 yards and Tyler Murphy added a rushing touchdown.
Quarterback Sean Parady completed 7 of 8 passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns, one each to Alex Keene and Collin Walton.
Parady also rushed for a pair of two-point conversions, while Hall was 2-for-2 on extra-point kicks.
Bangor 48, Mount Ararat 0
At Topsham, Kyle Vanidestine rushed for 115 yards and Shane Walton added 101 yards on the ground as the Bangor Rams improved to 2-0 on the season.
Vanidestine and Walton each scored a pair of touchdowns for Bangor, which broke the game open with 28 unanswered points in the second quarter. Vanidestine scored on an 80-yard run and a 65-yard punt return, while Walton scored on runs of 12 and 10 yards.
Junior quarterback Ian Edwards also scored for Bangor on an 11-yard run, while Chris Ingraham scored from 2 yards out and Renaud Collard-Seguin added a 1-yard scoring run.
Ingraham’s third-quarter touchdown was set up by a pass interception by Ben Bambrick, who returned the ball deep into Mount Ararat territory.
Bangor, which hosts 1-0 Brunswick at Cameron Stadium next Friday night, amassed 348 total yards, 342 on the ground. The Rams’ defense held 0-2 Mount Ararat to minus-29 yards rush and 10 yards of total offense for the game.
Orono 33, Dexter 6
At Dexter, Jared Bussell rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries in a game that was halted with 7:31 left in the third quarter due to lightning.
Ben Stout added 61 yards and a touchdown on six carries, while Bruse Nason rushed for 36 yards and a score on nine tries.
Stout scored the only touchdown of the first quarter on a 45-yard run, with Seth Dwyer adding the extra-point kick.
Bussell scored twice on runs of 1 and 2 yards in the second period, while Nason scored on a 1-yard run as Orono built a 27-6 halftime lead.
Dexter’s touchdown came on a 57-yard pass from Steve Robinson to Dontai Keith.
The game initially was delayed for 30 minutes with 10:42 left in the third quarter. When the game resumed, Bussell scored on another 1-yard run before lightning in the area prompted the game to be ended.
Robinson completed 4-of-8 passes overall for 81 yards for the Tigers.

Foxcroft 29, Livermore Falls 0
At Livermore Falls on Friday night, Brad Bellemare rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries as the Ponies earned the victory in their crossover game against a Western Maine Class C opponent.
Bellemare scored on runs of 77 and 4 yards for 2-0 Foxcroft.
Quarterback David White completed 3-of-6 passes for 70 yards against Livermore Falls, including a 58-yard touchdown pass to Ian Imbert.
Shane Adkins added a 40-yard touchdown run for Foxcroft.

Bapst to host Bucksport Monday
Saturday night’s Bucksport at John Bapst LTC Class C football game was postponed due to inclement weather, and will be played at 7 p.m. Monday at Cameron Stadium in Bangor.
As a result of that rescheduling, next weekend’s game sending Foxcroft Academy to Bucksport has been pushed back from Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday.
