HERMON – Dale Swoboda of Hermon earned his first win of the season in the Sportsman Pro Stock division at Speedway 95 on Sunday.
Swoboda started on the outside pole, then grabbed the lead on the first lap and never relinquished it in besting second-place John Phippen Jr., the pole-sitter from Town Hill.
Matt Eaton of Little Deer Isle finished third, followed by Ryan Deane of Winterport and fifth-place Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs.

Races postponed
Thunderstorms forced the postponement of Saturday afternoon’s program to next week at Oxford Plains Speedway. Rain also postponed racing at Wiscasset Raceway and Unity Raceway on Saturday. Racing will resume Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wiscasset and the Hight Chevrolet PASS Outlaw 100 will held at Unity on Sunday, Oct. 1.
