MILLINOCKET – Felicia Achorn scored three goals to lead the Stearns Minutemen to a 5-0 shutout of Orono in high school field hockey action Tuesday.

Amy Collinsworth had a goal and two assists and Paige Curtis a goal and Hannah Somers an assist for 4-0 Stearns. Deanna Michaud saved two of three shots.

Kristine Kittreidge had 14 saves on 27 shots for the 2-3 Red Riots.

JV: Stearns 1-0

Dexter 7, Bangor 1

At Bangor, Denise Robinson scored three goals and Jana Kenny added two goals and two assists as Dexter rolled past Bangor.

Jordan Conway and Alicia Marquis each scored a goal and Beckie Johnson chipped in an assist for the 2-1-1 Tigers. Katie Poirier and Val Thompson combined to make 14 saves on 15 shots.

Jesse Strout scored the lone goal for the 1-4 Rams. Hilary Babin and Mikaela Marshall-Holmes combined for 22 saves on 30 shots.

JV: Bangor 2-1

Belfast 2, Mount View 0

At Belfast, Kallie Aldus and Helen Berry each scored a goal to lead Belfast over Mount View for their 40th straight win.

Goalie Liz Anderson saved all four shots she faced for the 4-0 Lions.

Lynze Cronin made 22 saves on 24 shots for the 2-2 Mustangs of Thorndike.

JV: Mount View 3-1

Foxcroft 0, Hampden 0 (2OT)

At Dover-Foxcroft, the Ponies and Broncos battled to a double-overtime tie.

Renee Maheu saved all six shots she faced for 4-0-1 Foxcroft while Katie Hessert stopped all 16 shots she faced for 2-2-1 Hampden.

Boys soccer

Orono 8, Searsport 0

At Orono, Hosain Aghamoosa and Lee Hicker each netted two goals as Orono cruised past Searsport.

Chris McConnon tallied a goal and three assists and Jordan Dudley added a goal and two assists. Mike Conley and Ian Staples each scored a goal apiece, and Mike Amato notched an assist. Nate Peterson saved all four shots he faced for the 3-1 Red Riots.

Don Peach saved 19 of 28 shots for the 0-3 Vikings.

JV: Bangor freshmen 2, Orono 0

Piscataquis 3, Schenck 2

At Guilford, John Billstone scored off a pass from Roy Burdin with 3:18 left in regulation to lift the Pirates past Schenck of East Millinocket.

Billstone added an assist on a goal by Burdin and Jeff Robinson added a goal for 3-0-1 Piscataquis. Ryan Martell had four saves on seven shots.

Trevor Violette had a goal and an assist for the 1-2 Wolverines. Kerry Thompson added a goal and Lanny Thompson had 12 saves on 20 shots.

Dexter 5, Central 2

At Corinth, Dan Beatham had two goals and two assists to lead Dexter past Central.

Rick Stewart notched two goals and Aaron Woodman a goal and two assists for the 4-0 Tigers. Chris Eastman had 15 saves on 24 shots.

Danny Kane had a goal and an assist and Matt Connolly a goal for the 1-1-1 Red Devils. Charles Haney saved 20 of 34 shots.

JV: Dexter 3-0

John Bapst 2, Hermon 1

At Bangor, Tetter Lundquist and Ian Bamford scored first-half goals to lead John Bapst past Hermon.

Casey Hull added an assist for the 4-0 Crusaders. Chris Smith had five saves on 13 shots.

Kevin Tarr scored for the 0-3 Hawks. Josh Blaine saved eight out of 24 shots.

Old Town 7, Nokomis 2

At Old Town, Dillon Clark netted four goals and assisted on two as Old Town cruised past Nokomis of Newport.

Corey Fournier added a goal and an assist, and Josh Hesseltine and Luke Bartlett each scored a goal. Matt Cavanaugh chipped in with an assist. Sam Petrie and Ethan Shanley combined to make seven saves on nine shots for the 2-1 Coyotes.

Jordan Woodbury notched two goals for the 1-3 Warriors. Wayne May made 15 saves on 22 shots.

Messalonskee 4, Brewer 1

At Oakland, David Rossignol netted three goals and assisted on another to lead Messalonskee past Brewer.

Josh Gilbert tallied a goal and Matt DelGuidice added three assists. Tim Davis made eight saves on 11 shots for the Eagles.

Andrew Richardson scored on a Marc Relford assist for the 2-2 Witches. Chris Brady made eight saves on 19 shots.

Girls soccer

Bangor Christian 6, Katahdin 2

At Bangor, Morgan Chasse scored four goals as Bangor Christian cruised past Katahdin.

Kelly Robinson scored on a Katherine Bragg assist. Christin Pelletier tallied a goal and Gretchen Veevaert added an assist. Moriah Bach and Morgan Staples combined to save all six shots they faced for the 4-0 Patriots.

Kali Rush netted both goals for the 2-4-1 Cougars of Stacyville. Kayla Stevens made 13 saves on 32 shots.

Highview Christian 7, Averill 2

At Charleston, Jade Philbrick netted four goals and assisted on another to lead Highview Christian over Averill of Hinkley.

Michala Rowe tallied three goals and an assist, and Jana Philbrick made seven saves on 12 shots for the 1-0 Knights.

Sara Mack and Veronica Larson each notched a goal for the 0-3 Beavers. Tiffany Cookson made 14 saves on 40 shots.

Piscataquis 1, Penquis 0

At Milo, Christine Davis scored with 39 seconds remaining in the first half as Piscataquis of Guilford held off Penquis for the win.

Jill Martell saved five of eight shots for the 1-0-2 Pirates.

Erica Lyford made 12 saves on 17 shots for the 0-4 Patriots.

Messalonskee 2, Brewer 1

At Brewer, Kate Tonge scored two goals, including the game-winner with 19:37 remaining, to lead Messalonskee of Oakland past Brewer.

Eloise Douglas made eight saves on 12 shots for the 3-1 Eagles.

Elizabeth Cote notched a goal for the 0-4 Witches. Carolyn Tuck made 13 saves on 18 shots.

Nokomis 2, Old Town 1

At Newport, Taylar Donaldson and Teresa Cooper each netted a goal to lead Nokomis over Old Town.

Noelle Lincoln assisted on both goals and Laura Lyford made two saves on four shots for the 1-2-1 Warriors.

Tiffany Gammon scored a goal for the 0-4 Coyotes. Abby Fogarty made 33 saves on 35 shots.
