PARIS – Students at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School are mourning the death of a 15-year-old sophomore who was killed in a crash of his all-terrain vehicle.
Thomas Boyd of Paris was riding alone Saturday when he was thrown from his ATV after striking a utility pole on the Estes Road in West Paris, said State Trooper Matt Griffin. Boyd, who was not wearing a helmet, died Saturday night at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side.
“He hit the pole so hard that it split in half and landed on the ATV,” Griffin said.
