MILLINOCKET – Jess Mason scored off a Brooke Mountain assist during a penalty corner as time expired in the second overtime to lift the Dexter field hockey team to a 2-1 victory Saturday over previously undefeated Stearns in high school action.
Jana Kenney gave the 6-2-1 Tigers a lead when she knocked in a penalty stroke in the second half. Amy Collinsworth tied it for 8-1 Stearns later in the period.
Katie Poirier stopped 26 of 27 shots for Dexter and Deanna Michaud made 16 saves on 18 shots for the Minutemen.
John Bapst 2, Hermon 0
At Hermon, Meagan Tilton’s two goals lifted the Crusaders past the Hawks.
Christina Andrle and Lauren Fish each had an assist for 5-3 John Bapst of Bangor. Hillary Laferriere saved all Hermon seven shots.
Carrie Cole made six saves on eight shots for the 1-6-1 Hawks.

At Corinth, Chantal Randall scored the game-winning goal in the first half off a pass from Brooke Washburn as the Red Devils tipped Mattanawcook of Lincoln.
Sam Morin stopped all five shots she faced for 6-2-2 Central.
Sarah French made 10 saves on 14 shots for the 3-4-1 Lynx.

Bangor Christian 2, Katahdin 1
At Bangor, Brett Bradford netted what proved to be the game-winning goal with 21 seconds left in the first half as the Patriots held off the Cougars.
Jeremy Long scored the first goal with 5:49 left in the first half. Zach Kutz assisted on both goals for 4-3 Bangor Christian. Sam McLeod stopped 10 of 15 shots.
Billy Duffy scored the goal for 6-3 Katahdin of Sherman Station while Matt Tarr made 18 saves on 24 shots.
Penobscot Valley 3, Piscataquis 1
At Howland, Ryan Ware tallied a goal and an assist to lift the Howlers past the Pirates.
Brandon Vainio and Chad Trapier each added a goal for 3-2-2 Penobscot Valley. Brian Harris stopped 13 of 16 shots.
Roy Burdin scored a second-half goal for 6-3-1 Piscataquis of Guilford. Jarrod Robinson assisted on the goal and Ryan Martell made 11 saves on 22 shots.
GSA 2, Central 2 (2OT)
At Corinth, George Stevens’ Ryan Kurtz scored the tying goal with 21:03 left in the second half but neither team could convert from there.
Kurtz finished with two goals for the 3-2-3 Eagles of Blue Hill, the first of which was scored off a Steven Ensworth assist. Rashad Frazier stopped 21 of 36 shots.
Matt Connolly and Jacob Speed each recorded a goal for the 3-4-2 Red Devils. Danny Kane assisted on Connolly’s goal. Charles Haney and Jon Daniel combined for 13 saves on 19 shots.
Ellsworth 1, John Bapst 0
At Ellsworth, Chris Leighton’s goal with 4:24 remaining in the first half held up as the Eagles avenged their only loss of the season and handed the Crusaders of Bangor their first loss.
Greg Berry made six saves on nine shots for 7-1 Ellsworth.
Chris Smith had six saves on 15 shots for 6-1 John Bapst.

At East Millinocket, Bryant Ciomei scored all three goals to power the Mariners.
Colin Ciomei and Max Becton each tallied an assist for 5-2-1 DI-Stonington. Eben Powers made 11 saves on 14 shots.
Kerry Thompson scored on a pass from Trevor Violette for the 2-5 Wolverines. Lanny Thompson had 10 saves on 16 shots.
Rangeley 5, Calvary Chapel 4
At Rangeley, Nels Christensen’s game-winning penalty kick three minutes into overtime powered Rangeley past Calvary Chapel of Orrington.
Luke Hammond netted two goals while Sean Fay and Damien Sargent each added one. Kent Madera made 10 saves on 14 shots for the 5-3 Lakers.
Luke Thomas and Jon Burke each scored two goals while Ian Seekins added two assists. Beau Miller recorded 12 saves on 17 shots for the 6-1 Sabers.
Presque Isle 12, Foxcroft 0
At Presque Isle, Logan York and Ethan Hill each tallied three goals and an assist as the Wildcats cruised.
Russ Mortland scored two goals and contributed two assists while Chad Carlin and Warren Zubrick each had a goal and an assist. Steve Carmichael and Scott Wilson each added a goal. Adam and Dillion Kingsbury combined to make three saves on three shots for 6-1-1 Presque Isle.
Evan Bridges made 15 saves on 27 shots for the 1-6 Ponies.

At Searsport, Derek Bonenfant and Sherman Pelletier each scored two goals to power the Warriors past the Vikings.
Jason Roy added a goal for 5-4-2 Fort Kent. Matt Harvey stopped all three Searsport shots.
Dan Peach made nine saves on 14 shots for 0-8 Searsport.
East Grand 2, Jonesport-Beals 1
At Jonesport, Lucas Gillis scored two goals, lifting the Vikings of Danforth to their first win.
Rick Parks made 16 saves on 33 shots for 1-5 East Grand.
James Kelley nailed a penalty kick for the 0-6-1 Royals. Jeremy Bassett recorded 13 saves on 16 shots.

Greenville 2, Buckfield 0
At Buckfield, Lauren Fling made six saves on eight shots as the Lakers picked up a key win over the Bucks.
McKenna Peat and Hannah Breton each scored an unassisted goal for Greenville, which goes to 6-1.
Alyssa Henderson stopped 13 of 26 shots for 7-2-1 Buckfield.
Piscataquis 1, PVHS 1 (2OT)
At Howland, Erin Dawson scored the game-tying goal for Piscataquis with 2:51 left in the first half to force a 1-1 tie with Penobscot Valley.
Kelsey Lavertu made three saves on six shots for the Pirates of Guilford.
Cyndy Currier scored 55 second into the game for the Howlers. Jill Martell stopped 19 of 32 shots.
Presque Isle 3, Foxcroft 0
At Presque Isle, Kayla Lagasse, Carmen Allen and Katrina Whittier each netted a goal as the Wildcats downed the Ponies.
Shantelle Cyr, Shaina Watananuchit and Nicole Finnemore each logged an assist for the 8-1 Wildcats. Molly Hamel, Allisen Donovan and Kelsey Park combined to make three saves on three shots.
Sarah Whitmore made 15 saves on 20 shots for the 3-2-3 Ponies.

At Blue Hill, Winslow Brokaw and Emily Peake each scored two goals as the Eagles remained undefeated.
Alida Peake tallied a goal and an assist for 6-0-1 GSA. Kayla Eaton had six saves on eight shots.
Erica Brownell scored for the 1-6 Red Devils of Corinth. Jessica Daniel made 12 saves on 31 shots.
