A woman was arrested Saturday and accused of assaulting another woman who was getting into a cab outside Raena’s Pub in Bangor.

According to police reports, the victim was leaving the bar around 1:30 a.m. with a male when Catherine Lepage, 34, of Kenduskeag approached her and began physically and verbally assaulting her.

The cabdriver told police that after the male and the victim had gotten into the cab, Lepage returned, got into the cab with them, and began assaulting the victim again.

According to reports, several people helped break up the fight, after which the victim got out of the cab. The driver stated that he then dropped Lepage off at 16 Sanford St.

When police arrived at the Sanford Street residence, they found a woman sitting on the porch who neighbors identified as Lepage. When asked her name, she gave police a false name and said she had in fact been assaulted by the victim.

Police reports state that the officer told her a sober witness had told them she had assaulted the victim. She then got angry at police and told them they weren’t taking her seriously because she was drunk.

Police arrested Lepage and summoned her for assault.

A Bangor man was arrested and summoned for operating under the influence of intoxicants early Saturday morning after he was seen driving the wrong way down a one-way street.

Officer Shawn Green observed Chad McAuliffe, 21, turn down Harlow Street in Bangor going in the wrong direction. When he stopped McAuliffe, reports state that Green noticed the smell of alcohol and had McAuliffe perform field sobriety tests. After McAuliffe failed the tests, he was arrested and summoned for OUI.

An Intoxilyzer test performed at the police station showed McAuliffe had a blood alcohol content of 0.09 percent.

Police responded Saturday night to a call from Just 4 Fun on Odlin Road in Bangor because a man was refusing to leave the bar.

When Officer Jason McAmbley arrived at Just 4 Fun, Officer Shawn Green, who was off-duty, was attempting to assist bar staff in removing Kevin Watkins, 38, of Muldrow, Okla., from the bar.

Watkins was agitated, yelling at Green and refusing to leave. When McAmbley told Watkins he had to leave the bar, he again refused and had to be physically removed from the scene.

McAmbley arrested Watkins outside the bar. Watkins was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center for treatment for a cut on his forehead and was summoned for criminal trespass.

A transient woman was arrested Friday night after allegedly breaking into a newly rented apartment on First Street in Bangor and refusing to leave.

Officer Jason Stuart responded to a call that an intoxicated woman was in another person’s apartment and refused to leave. When he arrived, Donnamaria Aluisy, 46, was inside the apartment and at first refused to identify herself.

Reports state she was very intoxicated, slurring her words and having difficulty standing. She insisted that “Ed” had given her permission to be in the apartment but would not give more information on who “Ed” was.

The new tenant then arrived and told Stuart that she had just rented the apartment that day and had been coming to move in when she found the stranger sleeping in the living room.

Police reports state the window next to the fire escape had been smashed in and smoke detectors had been removed. She told police she had tried for approximately 20 minutes to get Aluisy to leave before calling the police.

Police records indicate that Aluisy was out on bail for disorderly conduct and that part of her bail conditions were that she was not to possess or use alcohol.

Stuart arrested Aluisy. She refused an Intoxilyzer test. She was charged with criminal mischief, criminal trespass and violation of bail conditions.

An accident on Union Street in Bangor resulted in a child being taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center for minor injuries Saturday.

Around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Benjamin Fiske, 27, of Lincoln was turning left off the I-95 ramp on Union Street when Richard Brescia, 70, of Newport ran a red light and collided with Fiske’s car.

Brescia told police he had been distracted by the lights and sirens of passing emergency vehicles when he ran the red light.

There was one passenger in Brescia’s car who was uninjured. Two of Fiske’s three passengers were fine, according to police reports. Benjamin Smart, 6, who was also in Fiske’s car, complained of leg pain after the accident and was transported to EMMC.

A Glenburn man was arrested in Brewer Friday night after repeated warnings to stop yelling.

Cpl. Tony Pinette responded to a report of yelling and fighting in the South Main Street area around 10:30 p.m. According to police reports, there were several people in the area of South Brewer Drive when he arrived.

All but one complied when told to quiet down. Jason Bragg, 25, was repeatedly told to stop yelling and swearing and was given several warnings for disorderly conduct before police arrested him.

Bragg was summoned for disorderly conduct.

A collision on Broadway in Bangor resulted in a woman being taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center on Saturday morning.

Florence Medowell, 40, of Dixmont was driving her gray 1999 Mercury on Broadway and had stopped at the French Street intersection when Elizabeth Ingalls, 21, of Pittsfield rear-ended her.

Police reports state that Ingalls had been distracted and had tried to stop her blue 1995 Pontiac but had skidded on the slippery road. Ingalls had three passengers in her car, none of whom was injured.

Medowell was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center for treatment of head pains, according to police reports.

A male was summoned for possession of marijuana late Friday night on Wilson Street in Brewer.

Cpl. Tony Pinette was driving on Wilson Street around midnight and observed a male and a female standing outside a closed business.

According to police reports, when he stopped to talk to them he could smell freshly burned marijuana and asked them if either had any on their person. Matthew Bartlett, 28, of West Poland produced a small amount of marijuana.

Pinette summoned him for possession of a usable amount of marijuana.
