How dare Marlene Doucette, in her letter of Sept. 21, criticize the brothers of Alpha Gamma Rho for their public-spirited and voluntary effort to keep College Avenue clean? She should be ashamed.

I admit that downtown Orono is messy, but her friends and neighbors contribute equally to this condition.
