Maine’s minimum wage will increase from $6.50 an hour to $6.75 an hour effective Oct. 1. It will increase to $7 an hour in October 2007. This wage compares with a federal level of $5.15 an hour. New Hampshire’s minimum level is the same as the federal wage.

New Hampshire’s minimum level is the same as the federal wage. The minimum wage is $7.40 in Connecticut, $6.75 in Massachusetts, $7.10 in Rhode Island and $7.25 in Vermont.
