The Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church has offered to contribute up to $4,500 to add to the $20,000 anonymous donation for the repair of the town clock on the church, if the clock can be more mechanized. Church trustees hope to reduce the trips a member must take to the tower to wind the clock from once every week to once every three months or so. Trustees do not want the clock electrified but would like to see some alternate winding device installed, according to Town Manager Jack Clukey.
