For those who claim there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans please consider the following example. An executive earning $24 million a year in salary, bonus and stock options makes $2 million a month, $500,000 a week, and for a 10-hour, five-day week, $10,000 an hour. It seems like a lot, some make less, some make more. This is just an example.
At the other end of the pay scale a worker earning the federal minimum wage of $5.15 an hour earns $41.20 a day, $206 a week and for a 50-week year just over $10,000 or about what the executive makes in an hour.
Republicans believe the executive deserves a tax cut and that raising the minimum wage is a bad idea. Democrats see it just the reverse. Raise the minimum wage to help the little guy and allow the wealthy to pay their fair share.
