GUILFORD – Chris McConnon and Lee Hecker each scored two goals as Orono avenged its only loss with a 5-0 schoolboy soccer victory over Piscataquis on Saturday.

Hosain Aghoomsa also scored for Orono, while Paul Ohno and Mark Cloutier each had an assist.

Nate Peterson made four saves on six shots for 8-1 Orono. Corbin Shufelt made eight saves on 18 shots for 7-4-1 Piscataquis of Guilford.

JV: Piscataquis 2-1

Brewer 4, Hampden 2

At Hampden, four unassisted goals stood up against Hampden Academy as the Brewer Witches picked up a point-worthy win.

For the 6-4-1 Witches, Andrew Richardson, Reid McLaughlin, Brad Libby and Aaron Saunders each scored a goal. Chris Brady had five saves on 12 shots.

Jared Stephens and Nick Beal each scored on assists from John D’Haiti and Nick El-Hajj, respectively, for Hampden. Jon Lenz made four saves on 13 shots for the 8-3 Broncos.

John Bapst 4, Bucksport 1

At Bucksport, Ian Bamford scored a goal and assisted another to lift John Bapst of Bangor over Bucksport.

Jordan Myers, Andrew Stang, and Jon Gagnon scored for the 7-2 Crusaders. Casey Hull provided an assist as Chris Smith blocked three of nine shots.

Teddy Cooke scored a second-half goal on a Jon Goodin assist for the 3-7 Golden Bucks. Miles Bisher blocked 25 of 32 shots.

JV: John Bapst 5-0

Dexter 3, Penquis 1

At Dexter, Dan Beatham scored two second-half goals to push Dexter to its Homecoming victory.

Aaron Woodman added a goal with 16:24 left in the second half and Quinn Dillon provided an assist. Chris Eastman turned away eight of nine shots.

Nathan Allen scored with 37:26 left in the first half for 0-10 Penquis of Milo. Brian Zwicker made 13 saves on 25 shots.

Presque Isle 9, Hermon 0

At Presque Isle, Logan York scored three goals and assisted two others to lead Presque Isle to victory.

Russ Mortland had a hat trick with three goals for the 8-1-1 Wildcats. Warren Zubrick added two goals and Ethan Hill had a goal and an assist. Adam Kingsbury stopped both shots.

Cory Johnson made 24 saves on 33 shots for 1-8-1 Hermon.

JV: Presque Isle 3-2

Richmond 2, Greenville 1 (OT)

At Greenville, Eric Nash scored a goal 28 seconds into the first overtime to give Richmond the win.

Isaiah Eagles scored on a Jason Brown assist for 8-0 Richmond. Kyle Lancaster had 19 saves on 36 shots.

Richie Chilson notched a goal for the 3-5 Lakers. Tim Post made 42 saves on 50 shots.

Bangor Christian 1, Lee 0

At Lee, Phil Dougherty scored an unassisted goal with 25 minutes left in the second half to lead Bangor Christian to the win.

Sam McLeod stopped 19 of 27 shots for the 5-5 Patriots.

Jon Connick made 19 saves on 21 shots for 6-2-2 Lee Academy.

Penobscot Valley 2, Central 1

At Howland, Brandon Vainio scored two goals, including the game winner with 3:45 remaining to give Penobscot Valley the win over Central of Corinth.

Chad Trapier tallied an assist for the 5-2-3 Howlers. Brian Harris made nine saves on 13 shots.

Scott Kelley tallied the lone goal for the 4-3-3 Red Devils. Charles Haney made nine saves on 10 shots.

Bangor 8, Nokomis 0

At Bangor, Devin Lincoln scored 12 seconds into the game to lead Bangor to victory.

Dan Taft had a goal and an assist for the 10-1 Rams. Nick George, JoJo Hwalek, Matt Goodell, Christian Larochelle, Tony Martinez and Mack Susi added goals. Aaron Taft and Eric Milles combined to stop two of four shots.

Wayne May made 16 saves on 31 shots for 1-10 Nokomis of Newport.

JV: Bangor 9-0

MDI 5, Foxcroft 1

At Bar Harbor, Ben Young scored two goals and assisted on another to lead Mount Desert Island past Foxcroft Academy.

Tarek Dekkaki and Jake Sattler both had a goal and an assist for the 6-3 Trojans. Chad Grass added a goal as John Joseph and Jake Minctons combined to stop three of four shots.

P.J. Bonbero scored a second-half goal for 1-7 Foxcroft Academy. Evan Bridges turned away 17 of 26 shots.

Calvary Chapel 2, Narraguagus 0

At Harrington, Rosaire Veilleux scored a goal and assisted another to push Calvary Chapel of Orrington to victory.

Luke Thomas added a first-half goal for the 8-1 Sabers and Jon Burke provided an assist. Beau Miller stopped five of six shots.

Brandon Meserve blocked 24 of 26 shots for 1-7-1 Narraguagus.

Girls soccer

Bangor 5, Nokomis 0

At Newport, Courtney Stevenson, Amy Hackett and Jenny Lucy each scored a first-half goal to help the undefeated Rams roll to their 11th victory.

Erin MacDermott blasted in two goals in the second half for the Rams, the first from 22 yards and the second from 30 yards. Tawnya Godinez and Rachel Roberts combined for three saves on four shots.

Laura Lyford made 19 saves on 31 shots for Nokomis.

JV: Bangor 2-0

Penobscot Valley 3, Central 0

At Howland, Kacey Plourde scored on a direct kick with 21:08 left in the first half to push Penobscot Valley past Central of Corinth.

Mindy Colley and Michelle Bowers added goals for the 7-2-1 Howlers. Lyndsey Drost provided an assist as Kelsey Lavertu stopped eight of 12 shots.

Jessica Daniel blocked seven of 12 shots for the 1-9 Red Devils.

Dexter 5, Penquis 0

At Dexter, Miranda Gove scored three goals and assisted another to lead Dexter to victory on homecoming.

Alexis Mitchell had a goal and three assists for the 4-5-1 Tigers and Kristen Brasier scored a goal. Christal Warren had an assist and Ashley Richardson blocked all six shots.

Erica Lyford made five saves on 17 shots for 0-9 Penquis of Milo.

Orono 3, Piscataquis 2

At Guilford, Kate Kelley scored two goals and assisted on another as Orono downed Piscataquis.

Wesley Osterhout added a goal for the 6-2-1 Red Riots. Heather Woodbrey made three saves on five shots.

Cyndi Currier netted two goals and Christine Davis had two assists for the 4-1-4 Pirates. Jill Martell had 14 saves on 19 shots.

Hampden 1, Brewer 0

At Hampden, Michelle Manning scored with 21:31 left in regulation on a Lauren Jadallah assist to lead Hampden Academy past Brewer.

Michelle Wells stopped two of three shots for the 6-5 Broncos.

Carolyn Tuck made 13 saves on 21 shots for the 2-7-2 Witches.

Presque Isle 5, Hermon 0

At Presque Isle, Sarah Gonsiorski scored three goals to lift Presque Isle over Hermon.

Carmen Allen and Kayla Legassie added goals for the 10-1 Wildcats. Chantelle Cyr and Shaina Watananuchit each provided an assist. Molly Hamel and Allisen Donovan combined to stop two of four shots.

Megan Hebert blocked 18 of 30 shots for the 1-9-1 Hawks.

George Stevens 5, Searsport 2

At Searsport, George Stevens Academy scored five unanswered goals to roll past Searsport.

Emily Peake and Laura Overton scored two goals apiece and Maddi Park had a goal and an assist. Winslow Brokaw notched two assists and Fiona Schubeck had one assist. Alida Peake made 15 saves on 17 shots for the 8-1-1 Eagles.

Brittani Frisbee and Riana Faunce scored a goal apiece for the 3-5-1 Vikings. Amanda Cheney made eight saves on 13 shots.

Houlton 3, Calais 2

At Calais, Emily Bartlett scored two goals to lead Houlton past Calais.

Liz Herring netted a goal for the 4-6-1 Shiretowners. Stephanie Perry made 20 saves on 25 shots.

Kayla Cobb had two goals and Bethany Targonski made six saves on 10 shots for the 7-2-1 Blue Devils.

Shead 5, East Grand 0

At Eastport, Patricia Candelmo scored three first-half goals to lead the host Tigerettes to victory.

Whitney Remington and Randi Smith each added a goal and an assist for Shead, while Donna Candelmo had two assists and Robyn Stuart had one assist.

Dorothy Pottle and Shelly Melanson combined to stop all six shots they faced for 5-5 Shead. Courtney Lloyd had 11 saves on 23 shots for 0-12 East Grand of Danforth.

Field hockey

Hampden 2, Foxcroft 1 (2OT)

At Hampden, Alisa Hamilton scored with 38 seconds left in the second overtime to lead Hampden Academy to victory.

Tini Lumino scored a first-half goal for the 5-4-2 Broncos. Katie Hessert made nine saves on 10 shots.

Kelsey Boss scored in the second half for 6-4-1 Foxcroft Academy. Renee Maheu blocked 11 of 13 shots.

JV: Foxcroft 5-1

Piscataquis 7, Orono 1

At Guilford, Kellie Martel scored three goals and Kelsey Martel added a goal and two assists for the Pirates.

Kaitlin Smith, Hattie Agnew and Annie Agnew each added a goal for Piscataquis. Ashley Davis contributed two assists, while Naomi Davis and Briana Shufelt each had one assist for the Pirates.

Chelsea Wagner scored a goal for Orono.

Jessica Pratt made two saves on three shots for 8-1-2 Piscataquis, while Christine Kittridge made nine saves on 17 shots for 2-10 Orono.

JV: Piscataquis 1-0

Dexter 1, Mattanawcook 0

At Dexter, Denise Robinson scored on a Jana Kenney assist with 22:09 remaining in the first half as Dexter held off Mattanawcook.

Katie Poirier made two saves on seven shots for the 8-2-1 Tigers.

Sarah French had seven saves on 10 shots for the 4-5-2 Lynx.
