BOYS

Big School (Classes A-B)

KYLE ROSS

Ross, a senior fullback for the Hampden Academy football team, rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries as the Broncos earned a 20-11 Homecoming victory over Brewer. Ross scored touchdowns on runs of 2 and 33 yards to help Hampden remain in the PTC Class B playoff chase.

Small School (Classes C-D)

JOSH COUSINS

Cousins, a senior running back for the Dexter football team, rushed for 183 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries to lead the Tigers to a 32-15 Homecoming victory over Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield. Cousins scored on runs of 3 and 52 yards as Dexter built a 20-0 lead and cruised to its second victory.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

CASEY HARTLEY

A junior forward for the Bangor girls soccer team, Hartley recorded two game-winning goals for the 12-0 Rams. She scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over previously undefeated Waterville Thursday and did the same thing in a 1-0 win over Mt. Blue Tuesday.

Small School (Classes C-D)

RACHEL TRAFTON

Trafton, a sophomore center midfielder for defending Class C state field hockey champ Central of Corinth, scored both goals Saturday as the 8-2-2 Red Devils defeated Piscataquis 2-1. It was just the second loss of the season for the Pirates, also 8-2-2. Trafton also scored a goal in a 2-1 win over Class B Hampden last week.
