ALTON – U.S. Sen. Susan Collins announced that Meghan O’Berry of Alton has been awarded an internship in her Aroostook County office in Caribou.
“Meghan’s academic profile and strong work ethic will be a great asset to my Caribou office,” Collins said. “Internships are extremely beneficial in providing students with the opportunity to gain real-life experiences. During Meghan’s internship she will be able to learn the inner workings of a congressional office by experiencing it first-hand.”
The daughter of Charles O’Berry is a 2004 graduate of Old Town High School. She is a junior at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where she is studying political science with a concentration in Russian studies. She is a member of Phi Eta Sigma, a national honor society at the university. She said she is looking forward to serving the citizens of Maine.
