Episodes of husband boot camp on the Net

It’s reality boot camp for husbands, but you won’t find it on your television screen. Brawny Academy, which can be found at www.brawnyacademy.com, contains episodes of the show and gives visitors the chance to vote for their favorite Brawny man hopeful.

The burly lumberjack we’ve all come to know as the king of cleaning up messy spills with his mighty paper towels is training husbands not only how to clean like a pro, but how to be gentlemen.

A quiz allows you to find out if your man is the Brawny man, and I must admit I took it and the Man on the Couch is right up there. No boot camp needed.

There’s another something new coming your way on Friday, Oct. 13, that fans of the game show “Deal or No Deal” are sure to love.

“Deal or No Deal” executive producer Scott St. John has come up with another one that’s become a hit around the world and now is coming to the United States on NBC.

“1 vs 100” is similar to “Deal or No Deal,” but is more than just a game of luck. That’s right. Contestants don’t just pick numbers; they have to be able to answer tough trivia questions and beat out the “mob” in order to get their hands on $1 million.

The show’s title comes from its format. One contestant is pitted against 100 “mob” members – made up of a mixture of geniuses, valedictorians, other game show champs and ordinary people.

To increase the cash prize they’re competing for, the contestant must eliminate members of the mob. Otherwise, one wrong answer from the player and the mob gets to split the contestant’s winnings to that point and someone else gets to take on the “mob.”

The show premieres at 8 p.m. Oct. 13 on NBC with host Bob Saget.

‘Tis the season for premieres and finales, and we’ve got two big ones coming up.

“The Bachelor: Rome” started last week with Prince Lorenzo Borghese, a 34-year-old cosmetics entrepreneur, searching for the love of his life in the show’s ninth season.

Borghese is an American citizen with royal roots, and he’s looking for a fairy tale ending to his search for The One.

I’m a little tired of watching the catfights to win a rose, but you can be sure I’ll stay updated with episode recaps, and the finale always is the best show of the season to tune into.

And for the grand finale … “Project Runway.”

I’ve been more addicted this season than ever. So much controversy, so many tears, and so many good designs.

The finale will be two parts with the first airing Oct. 11 and the real ending the next week.

Be sure to tune in to see who was able to take host Tim Gunn’s advice and “make it work.”
