BREWER – Richard Lafferty of Holden used a 3-wood to ace the par-3, 153-yard fifth hole at Pine Hill Golf Course on Tuesday. Susan Lafferty witnessed the shot.

WATERVILLE – Helen Plourd recorded a hole-in-one at Waterville Country Club Tuesday. Plourd used her driver on the 148-yard 16th hole and the ace was witnessed by Jean Sweetser, Liz Russell and Julie Green.
