A Glenburn woman was arrested at her residence Wednesday when police responded to a report of assault.

According to police reports, a Glenburn man called to report that Heather Robinson, 35, had caused property damage to their home and had slapped and scratched him in the course of an argument. Deputies Roy Peary and Jim Roy went to the site of the incident.

According to Peary, after interviewing Robinson and the victim, they determined that the argument had grown violent and arrested Robinson for assault.

University of Maine police arrested a local woman on campus Wednesday after witnesses reported a fight outside Little Hall.

Carmen Cherry, 30, of Orono was arrested for assault after allegedly instigating two altercations with a UM student, one inside the academic building and a second outside the building.

According to police reports, the fights became violent and the victim suffered scratches and had broken eyeglasses.

Officer Bill Mitchell went to the scene of the incident.
