Nabozny, Ellsworth edge George Stevens

BLUE HILL – Pat Nabozny scored two first half goals to lead Ellsworth to a 4-2 high school boys soccer win over George Stevens Academy Thursday.

Zac Emeigh and Luke Haskell added a goal apiece for the 12-1-1 Eagles. Greg Berry made four saves on 12 shots.

Austin Dobson and Jon Jagger tallied a goal each in the second half for 6-6-2 George Stevens. Rashad Frazier made 10 saves on 23 shots for the Eagles.

Caribou 2, Presque Isle 1

At Caribou, Jarryd Rossignol knocked in a direct free kick with 1:35 remaining in the second overtime as Caribou upset rival Presque Isle.

Kyle Corrgian scored a first-half goal for the 8-6 Vikings, with the assist coming from Kyle Damboise. Chad McCarthy had nine saves on 18 shots.

Russ Mortland scored an unassisted first-half goal for the 11-2-1 Wildcats. Adam Kingsbury faced five shots and didn’t make a save.

JV: Presque Isle 2-1

Girls soccer

WA 5, Narraguagus 0

At Harrington, Bre Nicely scored two goals as Washington Academy of East Machias shut out Narraguagus.

Andi Flannery, Joslyn Corey and Alice McBride added a goal apiece for the 12-2 Raiders. Irene Lewey stopped all five shots she faced.

Samantha Baker made 19 saves on 29 shots for the 1-8-4 Knights.
